This tall porcelain vase is a one-of-a-kind art piece crafted by ceramic artist Saori Matsushita.

Using the Neriage (marble ware, agateware) technique, it was formed by wheel throwing using black, red, and white colored clay. You can see the process of making this piece on the following YouTube Short:

Throwing A Neriage Tall Vase

The sharp, minimalist shapes and black marble-like swirls created by Neriage are a harmonious accent to contemporary architecture and a striking decorative element in any style of interior.

In addition to being displayed as art, it can be filled with water and used as a flower vase.

*Due to the rather large size of this piece, please allow one week for packaging and shipping.

Care Information

  • Hand wash: Most of Saori M Stoneware items are dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended. Please use mild soap and warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or metal sponges that can scratch the surface of the glaze or clay.
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes: Sudden changes in temperature can cause handmade ceramics to crack or break. Avoid placing ceramics directly on a stovetop or in the oven, as well as placing them in the freezer.
  • Do Not Stack: To avoid scratches or chips, use protective padding such like papers, cloth when stacking ceramic dishes or bowls to store.
  • Dry Storing: Avoid storing ceramics in a damp or humid environment in long term, as it can cause mold to the piece.
